We believe the church is a living partnership between the ministry of the congregation and the ministry of the home. It connects generations and tends the faith journey of children of all ages, from pre-birth to the grave. Our ministry is about nurturing faith and passing on the faith — discipleship and evangelism. This partnership helps youth develop a:

At Baptism, parents make a promise to "faithfully bring them to the services of God’s house, and teach them the Lord’s Prayer, the Creed, and the Ten Commandments, place in their hands the Holy Scriptures, and provide for their instruction in the Christian faith, that living in the covenant of their Baptism, they may lead godly lives until the day of Jesus Christ."
Every child baptized at St. Mark is given a FaithChest that’s been handcrafted by a member of the congregation and filled with a gift from each board of our Parish Planning Council. We encourage parents to fill the FaithChest with items they use to teach and nurture the child’s faith at home, and hope the child will take the FaithChest with him/her when he/she moves away from home.
