In addition to partnering with nearly 10,000 congregations across the United States, there are a number ministry partners that help us to reach out with Jesus' love for our neighbors across Iowa, the US, and the World.
St Mark is one of the nearly 10,000 congregations of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America. The ELCA is a church of about 4 million members who actively participate in God’s work in the world. We believe that we are freed in Christ to serve and love our neighbor. With our hands, we do God’s work of restoring and reconciling communities in Jesus Christ’s name throughout the world. We are a church that belongs to Christ. There is a place for you here. We live in many different communities, span all ages, cultures and races and bring to this church unique life experiences and perspectives. Seek answers to your questions and discover what God is calling you to in life.
Within the ELCA are 65 spread across the United States, Hawaii, and Alaska. St Mark is part of the Western Iowa Synod. Together with the other ELCA congregations in Western Iowa, we work together in God's mission.
St Mark has been a partner with Lutheran Lakeside Bible Camp and a member of the Camp Association. Each year young children, youth, and adults attend Lutheran Lakeside. Lakeside Camp is located on East Lake Okoboji. Lutheran Lakeside Camp nurtures personal spiritual growth by providing unique opportunities to experience the love and community of Jesus Christ in a joyful environment.
We welcome all people to experience Christian community and grow in faith, rooted in a spacious lakeside setting
St Mark is also partner with Ingham Okoboji Lutheran Bible Camps located near Milford Iowa. IOLBC's mission is simple: "To know Jesus Christ and to make Christ known to all." Discovering God the Father and Creator through the beauty of creation, experiencing the Holy Spirit's renewing power through caring community, and receiving the life-giving good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ is what makes camping ministry so impactful for every person in every generation. Check out their event page to see an opportunity for you and your family to grow in faith and grow together.
