Worship at St Mark

Worship is at the center of our life together at St Mark. Each week we offer worship services where we can all gather together to offer our prayers, praise, and thanksgiving to God as a community. Our worship services take place in the sanctuary where you are surrounded with stained-glass windows that tell the story of God's love, reminding us of the power of Baptism and water in our lives.  Each  service uses piano and/or organ, and other musicians to lead music. While we have hymnals available in the pews to use, all of our services utilize LCD monitors to share the words, lyrics, and images to help guide us in our worship.  We offer weekly Holy Communion at each weekend service. The Pandemic has created the opportunity for us to adapt worship opportunities. We have posted those changes below. Changes to our worship schedule will be posted on our Facebook page

  • Sunday 9:00 Worship

In-person worship takes place in our sanctuary. Any change due to weather or the pandemic will be posted on our Facebook page and on this website as soon as possible.

  • FACEbook live

All worship services are now streamed live via Facebook Live.

  • For those who want to stay in their cars

We now offer a lower powered FM broadcast via 93.1 during our worship services.  We invite persons to park on the westside of the building for the best reception. Ushers will check in with you to offer you a bulletin and to see if you would like to receive Holy Communion.

  • PROCLAIM RADIO ministry

Proclaim is a radio ministry of St Mark that is broadcast every Sunday morning at 7:30 AM via FM 101.7 KAYL. The message and music are from the previous weekend. This ministry is one of the ways we reach out to Storm Lake and Western Iowa with the love of Jesus even in the midst of a pandemic.  We invite you to consider supporting this ministry in addition to your regular financial support of St Mark. The cost is $25 per week and can be given online, or by check.  Call Jane Hartwell 732-5255 if you have questions.

  • Christmas, Easter, Lent, and other special services

We do offer a number of special services through out the year. Please check our calendar for the services you are looking for. We do hope you will join us.
